    2023

    Renaming

    In July 2023, the institute was renamed Shanghai Institute of Immunity and Infection, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIII-CAS).

    2013

    Yueyang Campus

    In June 2013, the Institute moved to newly-built 16,000 sqm building on Yueyang Road, Xuhui District.

    2007

    Independent legal entity

    In 2007, the Institute became an independent legal entity.

    2005

    First Installation of research teams

    In July 2005, the first four research teams were established at IPS-CAS. 

    2004

    Inauguration

    In October 2004, the Institut Pasteur of Shanghai, Chinese Academy of Sciences （IPS-CAS）was inaugurated.
