According to the training management system for experimental animal practitioners, practitioners need to receive regular training and assessment. The third theoretical training session of the Laboratory Animal Facility in 2023 will be held on September 22, 2023 at 14:00pm. Please arrange personnel for each research group to participate according to actual needs. The fourth training session for 2023 is expected to be held in December. Those who plan to apply to enter the Laboratory Animal Facility for experiments within the next four months are requested to register and participate in a timely manner. 

1. Training objectives 

Theoretical training aims to enable trainees to understand the relevant regulations on experimental animals and the laboratory operating procedures of the Laboratory Animal Facility, so as to have the ability to independently carry out animal experimental operations and write experimental plans. Trainees who pass the test with a score of 80 or above are considered to have passed, and are given an authorization code for theoretical training, which is valid for one year, and have the qualifications to enter the breeding or experimental area for practical training in the next stage. 

2. Training content 

1) Theoretical training: Basic knowledge of experimental animals and animal experiments; 

2) Practical training: practical operation in animal facilities. 

3. Time and Location 

Time: Friday, September 22, 2023, from 14:00 to 16:00 for theoretical training, and from 16:00 to 17:00 for quizzes and assessments. Location: B207. 

4. Registration methods 

Applicants for training should submit the electronic version of the training application form and the Shanghai Experimental Animal Training Record Card via email. Electronic file sent to animal_center@siii.cas.cn . Registration deadline: 12:00pm on September 21, 2023. 

5. Supplementary explanation 

To ensure the quality of the training, applicants should participate in the entire training process and not be absent. Those who are 15 minutes late for teaching and training will be disqualified from the training. Please arrange your work hours reasonably. If you are unable to attend on time due to some reasons, please inform the contact person in advance.
