The second round of BSL-2/ABSL-2 laboratory training course will start in in mid-May. Biosafety training is conducted quarterly, and the next biosafety training will be held in August. So researchers and students, who plan to use the BSL-2/ABSL-2 laboratory in the next four months should apply for the training.

1. Training content

1) Theoretical training: basic knowledge of laboratory biosafety. 

2) Practical training: laboratory operation practice. 

2. Training time 

It is tentatively scheduled to be from May 26, 2025 to May 30, 2025, and the specific schedule will be further notified.

3. How to apply

Send the scanned copy of attached registration form <Application for ABSL-2/BSL-2 laboratory training> signed by your PI and yourself to biosafe@siii.cas.cn.

Registration deadline: May 20, 2025

4. Supplementary notes 

In order to ensure the training quality, the applicant shall participate in the training in the whole process and shall not be absent. Those who are 15 minutes late for the training will be disqualified. Please arrange working hours reasonably. Those who cannot attend the training on time for some reason must inform the training contact person in advance.
