From Feb.20-22, Mr. Francois Ailleret, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institut Pasteur, and Honorary President of Electricité de France visited IPS. He met Prof. Chen Xiaoya, the Executive Vice President of the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences of CAS. He has had a series meetings and discussions with Pr. Vincent Deubel, Director General and Pr. Sun Bing, Co-Director of IPS, as well as PIs of IPS, and also Prof. Roberto Bruzonne, CEO of HKU-Pasteur Research Center, Prof. Ulf Nehrbass, Director General of Institut Pasteur of Korea.

　　At the invitation of Pr. Deubel, Mr. Francois Ailleret gave a presentation on ‘Management of a Research Institute’ on the first day of his arrival. More than 40 people of IPS including PIs, researchers, students and administrative staff listened to the presentation. On the following day, Mr. Ailleret gave a second presentation on ‘Big challenge and current situation of energy in the world’. About 20 CEOs or representatives of French companies in Shanghai shared his reflection on this hot topic.
