On May 2nd, a delegation led by Prof. Rungpetch Sakulbumrungsilp – Director of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University of Thailand visited Institut Pasteur of Shanghai, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Wang Junwei, Executive Deputy Director of the Innovation Cooperation Center (Bangkok) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Tang hong – Director General, Prof. Fernando Arenzana – Scientific Co-Director, key scientific researchers, the related personnel of Division of Science & Technology Development and Cooperation and Division of Human Resources and graduate students of IPS attended the meeting.
Prof. Tang Hong welcomed the delegation and hosted the meeting. He introduced the institute to the guests in detail from the areas of the historical process, the organizational structure, the discipline layout, the scientific research output and the expertise of education and training. And Tang Hong expressed the willingness of further strengthen exchanges and deepen cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University of Thailand in scientific research cooperation and personnel training according to the Development Strategy of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Science and Technology Cooperation Planning and Deployment of IPS.
Rungpetch Sakulbumrungsilp introduced the development history, the discipline composition and the talent development of Chulalongkorn University to IPS and also had a more in-depth and comprehensive understanding about IPS through the meeting. Both sides discussed specific measures in cooperation on the scientific research projects and the cultivation of graduate students and agreed to establish further cooperation and development.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the Vaccines & Antiviral Strategies Research Group Laboratory.
