ANSO-AID Symposium of Research Progress on COVID-19 Pandemic ended with success on January 26, 2022, having well achieved the objective as a scientific dialogue on COVID-19 especially virology, epidemiology, immunology, antibody vaccines, new drug countermeasures, and wide exploration of the collaboration mechanisms. This conference is jointly organized by the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) and hosted by the Institut Pasteur of Shanghai, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IPS) and ANSO Alliance of Infectious Diseases (ANSO-AID).
Jing-hua CAO, Executive Director of Secretariat of Alliance of International Science Organizations, gave a warm welcome on behalf of the organization. The speakers from seven institutes share their latest research results on models to predict the development, arbovirus research, avian influenza viruses, spike protein, neutralizing antibody, vaccine, drug as well as technology for living with the COVID-19 for a period of several years. The participants attached importance to cooperation and also expressed their wish to establish and maintain a regular communication mechanism to share research results for better exchanges each other.
Jinghua CAO and Hong TANG, Director General of IPS, expressed deep appreciation and thanks to all the speakers. Their presentations are in good quality and gave the newest progress in different aspects to the benefits of combating the COVID-19 pandemic and other infectious diseases. It is of great importance for scientists and experts globally to exchange and communicate all the science and innovation progress. In brief, with fast progress of science and innovation, we do see " the light at the end of the tunnel". To conclude, Jinghua CAO transferred big congratulation to the wonderful meeting and thanked all participants for their support to ANSO and ANSO-AID.
