The field of microbiome research has expanded vastly in recent years, and it is now well appreciated that microbiomes play a substantial role in human health. The microbiome has been shown to be closely correlated with inflammation and host immune response. This LabLinks on “Microbiome, inflammation, and immunity” will bring together microbiologists, immunologists, epidemiologist and clinicians in the areas of virus and bacterial infection, as well as host-microbe interactions. Our goals are to strengthen communications and expand cooperations to accelerate the basic and clinical research for human health, immunity, and interactions with microbiome.
