    Research Direction

    According to the central dogma of molecular biology, RNA plays an important role in genetic code transmission and also involved in multiple cellular processes, including transcription, splicing, transport, translation, and degradation. Dysregulation of RNA may interfere with normal metabolic processes, causing many human diseases. Our group focuses on the fields of RNA biology and synthetic biology, utilizing advanced technique from molecular biology, protein engineering, and computational biology to develop gene expression regulatory tools; Studying the underlying biological mechanisms with the new methods. The research conducted in our laboratory aims to contribute to human health and well-being.

    Developing gene therapies for common human genetic diseases;

    Development and application of a CRISPR free RNA targeting system;

    Application of circular RNA vaccine technology;

    Development of new protein degradation system.
